Integrated Data Base Record Linking - SAS Programs for Probabilistic Record Linking

Topic Information
This page highlights programs and information -- developed in creating the IDB -- on linking data from multiple sources. Materials include presentations, a technical report, programming code, and other supporting materials.

The presentations explain record linking concepts and techniques. The first presentation, "Record Linking 101," begins with examples from the IDB project demonstrating improved results using probabilistic linking, then covering basic linking theory, providing the necessary background for applying the IDB linking programs.

The second presentation, "Record Linking 102," builds on the concepts explained in "Record Linking 101" and describes how to implement the IDB record linking programs. It starts with details of how probabilistic linking techniques are used by the IDB programs, and move on to an explanation of how to implement the programs.
